1 Bathroom Sage Shepherds Hut is set in the secluded grounds of Boundary Farm in Saxtead just outside the market town of Framlingham with beautiful views over the meadows and fields offering a true countryside escape but with the comforts of modern day living.

August 2024We had a lovely 2 night stay in this shepherd hut. The hut had views of the Suffolk countryside and horses in the nextdoor field. The space cleverly fits in everything you need, with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable sofa bed. We did have a small issue with the fridge failing intermittently, which meant we had to throw out some food, but we have informed the host so hopefully they can address this. The location was great and easy to find (with detailed instructions provided by the host). It was only about a 5 minute drive into Framlingham, which had shops and pubs. We also visited Helmingham Hall, which was 15 minutes away, and had a really nice day. All in all, I would recommend the cottage for a few nights away.

May 2024We had a great 3 night stay. We were very lucky with the weather. It was a fun weekend. The pub is just a 20 minute walk. The bed was comfy and cooking facilities good.

April 2024We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely Shepheard Hut, compact but perfectly laid out and had everything we needed for a 2 nights stay. It was very comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

September 2023Lovely Shepards hut, well equipped kitchen and perfect location. Great to have access to the games room too. Unfortunately we had no hot water throughout the duration of our 5 day stay. Additionally the bed was simply a fold down sofa bed with two thin sheets of foam that went on either side. This meant the bed was rock hard and also a big gap was present down the middle as the foam was too big for the bed and so spread apart.

August 2023A beautiful relaxing spot with horses in the field next door and lovely to have breakfast outdoors and watch the sunset at night. The hut is like a little Tardis inside, everything is squeezed into a small space with pretty much everything you’ll need. Didn’t want to come home.

July 2023A lovely hut nestled in the Suffolk countryside that promised and delivered a peaceful getaway. A short distance from Framlingham and the amenities there, Sage also had access to a games room with a wide variety of choices. We feel nice and rested after our extended weekend break, and will definitely look at Sage again should we visit the area once more!
